Human Security: Our Shared Responsibilities in the 21st Century

The first session of Model United Nations of the Far West was held at Stanford University in 1951. This year’s session, Human Security: Our Shared Responsibilities in the 21st Century, will occur April 19th through April 23rd, 2024. Topics considered include genocide and mass atrocities, risks and opportunities posed by emerging technologies, including AI, enhancing the rights of migrant workers, and climate smart agriculture, among others. The Seventy-Third Session of MUNFW will be hosted by the faculty and students of Weber State University and Mesa Community College in Burlingame, CA near the site where the UN Charter was signed and the United Nations organization founded in 1945.
