Between Chaos and Consensus: Moving the Sustainable Development Goals Forward

The first session of Model United Nations of the Far West was held at Stanford University in 1951. This year’s session, Between Chaos and Consensus: Moving the Sustainable Development Goals Forward, will occur April 11th through April 15th, 2025. Topics considered include the impact of emerging technologies on disarmament, mitigating the environmental impacts of war, harnessing space technology for sustainable development, and defining sexual and reproductive rights, among others. This year’s session will also host the International Court of Justice for delegates interested in international law. For a full list of topics, please see the conference agenda listed on the Current Session page.

The Seventy-Fourth Session of MUNFW will be hosted by the faculty and students of Western Oregon University in Burlingame, CA near the site where the UN Charter was signed and the United Nations organization founded in 1945.
